New HumanIK Helps Maya-MotionBuilder Process
Since Maya 2012 HumanIK has been kept improving in each new version, in Maya 2015 there is even a dynamic link which can let you send control rig updates live between Maya and MotionBuilder. These improvements are crucial to my Personas project, since I need to manipulate motion capture data in many many shots. I'm think to update to Maya/MB 2015, but I also need to inspect the compatibility of my old version 2011 files. (+1y)

Protagonist Design Struggle
On the left: first concept/draft
On the right: latest design
Right now, I'm struggling with my protagonist's character design... My instructor told me that she likes my first design way more than the latest one, she thinks I need a simple design and the latest one is too complicate.
I wanted to show more personality to the character through attire and props, and want more details added into the world, thus I designed the latest one. Because I think I need a more believable world that can convince audience to have a sense of reality, but not that I want it becomes photo realistic. I was doubted the simple cartoon-ish flat-shaded kind of design will work.
After my instructor talked to me, I start to doubt my new design... :P I know a simpler design will save a lot time, but which one will convey a better message...?
